Scout Finch, a young girl in the racist town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the 1930s. Her father, Atticus, a lawyer, defends Tom Robinson, a Black man falsely accused of assaulting a white woman. Despite clear evidence of his innocence, Tom is convicted and later killed while trying to escape prison. Meanwhile, Scout and her brother Jem are fascinated by their reclusive neighbor, Boo Radley. In the end, Boo saves them from an attack by Bob Ewell, the real villain. The story explores racism, justice, childhood, and human kindness, making it a timeless classic.
