The Metamorphosis

Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis is a classic novel about Gregor Samsa, a hardworking man who wakes up as a giant insect. Unable to work, he becomes a burden to his family. At first, his sister cares for him, but soon, everyone resents him. His father attacks him, and he grows weaker each day. Lonely and unwanted, Gregor eventually dies. After his death, his family moves on, relieved. The book explores themes of isolation, rejection, and human cruelty. It is a powerful, thought-provoking story that makes readers question how society treats those who can no longer contribute.

Bottom line :
When we become burden to our family and the society, Then family starts ignoring us. I find a lot of similarities between his writings and Spencer Johnson's. Both were about human nature and adaptability. Climax brings you tears !!!

Recommended audience :
Pocket sized!!! So suggesting everyone.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Scout Finch, a young girl in the racist town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the 1930s. Her father, Atticus, a lawyer, defends Tom Robinson, a Black man falsely accused of assaulting a white woman. Despite clear evidence of his innocence, Tom is convicted and later killed while trying to escape prison. Meanwhile, Scout and her brother Jem are fascinated by their reclusive neighbor, Boo Radley. In the end, Boo saves them from an attack by Bob Ewell, the real villain. The story explores racism, justice, childhood, and human kindness, making it a timeless classic.

Bottom line :
Killing a innocent mocking bird refers the convictions ,accusations and logicless assumptions made on innocent people when there is racisim and favouritism (now-a-days ). Not everyone can get chance to prove themselves.

Recommended audience:
People who have strong mentality to feel the struggles due to racisim through the words . Not a beginner friendly ! Keep a thesaurus with you if you are new to reading
