"The Naked Face" is a suspenseful novel that follows Dr. Judd Stevens, a New York psychoanalyst, whose life turns upside down after his patient, John Hanson, is brutally murdered. Shortly after, his secretary, Carol Roberts, is also killed. The police suspect Judd, but he soon realizes that someone is targeting him, and he must uncover the truth to survive. So he hires a private investigator Moody .As Judd digs deeper, He discovers that the murders are connected to his patient, Anne Blake (a mysterious patient with whom Stevens is in love), whose husband Anthony DeMarco . He tries to extract information about Anne's sessions with Stevens and forces him to convince Anne to go with her husband (DeMarco) to Europe. It is revealed that he killed Hanson (mistaking him for Stevens) and Carol (to extract information about Anne).At the end, Stevens manages to kill DeMarco and is rescued by Police Officer McGreavy.
Bottom line :
It's Sheldon's one of the master piece. While reading, We couldn't resist ourselves to suspect all the characters in the story. Still the end had a twist.
